Dr. Neil Nimkar is a Hematologist-Oncologist who is trained in all malignancies and blood disorders. He achieved his BA at Rutgers University in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry and then graduated from the Ross University School of Medicine. Dr. Nimkar did his residency at New York Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, where he completed his fellowship as well. Dr. Nimkar earned recognition for Excellence in Clinical Documentation, as well as Best Patient Advocate, Best Ambulatory Resident and Wellness Warrior Awards. Dr. Nimkar is ABIM Board-Certified in Medical Oncology and Hematology.
Dr. Nimkar published research on immunotherapy in Hepatocellular Cancer Patients with mild to severe liver dysfunction, and conducted an extensive study analyzing causes for over transfusion of blood products of patients at Brookdale Hospital Medical Center. Dr. Nimkar maintains membership in national organizations, including having been the past founder and vice president of the Childhood Leukemia Foundation at Rutgers University. In his practice he strives to incorporate the most up-to-date knowledge in the field with an approach geared to the needs of each individual patient. He especially takes pride in going the extra mile to deliver the highest quality of patient care.

Extremely Thorough and Proactive
I came to Dr. Nimkar with such a long list of medical issues and experiences, more than 3 average patients would have had. Typically this overwhelms most new doctors, but Dr. Nimkar and his assistant both took the time and patience to be extremely thorough gathering all of my info, explaining a diagnostic approach and listening to all of my questions and concerns. As a former nurse I can tell how immersed a Doctor is and will be in my care, and how proactive they will be. I felt 100 percent comfortable with Dr. Nimkar!
